String Theory : Focus on Contemporary Australian Art, created by Glenn Barkley, senior curator for the MCA in Sydney brings together over 30 different artists and artist groups from around the country.
Alison Page was invited to create a ‘pop up’ shop as part of the exhibition. Incorporating both sustainability and functionality, Page has weaved recyclable cardboard boxes to create shelving and cardboard plinths to display merchandise, with handmade string by the Yirrkala artists and the original Aboriginal lace curtain by the National Aboriginal Design Agency depicting seed dreaming by Brentyn Lugnan.
